D.1 Enrolment
To complete the enrolment process, it is necessary to send the completed enrolment form along with a passport photo a copy of the receipt of payment of the 250 euro deposit to the Tolomei Cultural Institute. All students under the age of 18 must have written permission from their parents in order to enrol. Documents are to be sent to the following address:

D.2 Payment
D.2.1 Method of payment of the Deposit to be paid within 30 days of the start of the course. Students must effect a bank transfer (without cost to the addressee):

D.2.2 Method of payment of Course Fee to be paid before the start of the course:
Eurocheque, International Money Order, Bank Check, Bank Transfer and Credit Card
D.3 Visas and permesso di soggiorno
All students from countries belonging to the European Community do not need a visa in order to study the Italian language and culture in Italy. All students without a EU passport must request a VISA from the Italian Consulate located in the country of origin. U.S. citizens can enter and stay in Italy for up to 90 cays without a visa. For all information concerning the documentation and the time necessary to obtain a visa, contact the ITALIAN CONSOLATE nearest you. . After having received this information, you may proceed with the enrolment process. The Tolomei Cultural Institute will send a CERTIFICATE OF ENROLMENT along with a LETTER OF INVITATION which is necessary for obtaining a visa. In urgent cases, the school will ship the necessary documentation by means of express mail or DHL. Students will be responsible for all shipping costs.

D.4 Insurance
Students of the Tolomei Cultural Institute are automatically covered by an insurance which complies with the Italian law regarding activities organized inside the structure (this does not include sickness, accidents occurring outside course activity, thefts, and lost objects). We recommend that students procure medical insurance before leaving their country of origin. Additional information regarding insurance may be requested from your local Italian Embassy.
D.5 Attendance and conduct
Course attendance is mandatory and will be monitored daily. Students are to be punctual and are to assume a responsible conduct throughout their stay. Because Residency is considered to be an integral part of our school's education program, students must respect the rules such as the curfew. Students will be held responsible for all damages they may cause to the structure or property of the school. Following an unexcused absence or a form of conduct deemed contradictory to the school's educational purposes, the Direction of the Tolomei Cultural Institute reserves the right to expel the student from courses and the school. If necessary (for those who obtained a visa by means of the school's LETTER OF INVITATION) competent authorities will be notified. Under such circumstances, a refund will not be possible.
D.6 Cancellations and Refunds
All cancellations and requests for refunds must be sent in writing to the Tolomei Cultural Institute.
• Students who leave the program before the end of the course will not be eligible for a refund.
• If cancellation occurs at least 30 days before the start of the course, the student will receive a 70% refund of the course fee.
• If cancellations takes occurs within 30 days of the start of the course, no refund will be possible.
D.7 Courses e Modules
Courses will held from Monday through Friday. Language classes will meet during morning hours, and the culture and thematic modules will be offered during the afternoon. Class will not be held on national and religious holidays (in this period the 15th of August). Eventual periods of absence may not be recuperated at a later date. A course hour consists of approximately 45 minutes, and the minimum duration of a course is 2 weeks and begins on the pre-established dates. One may enroll in the various afternoon modules after enrolling in the general language course. A minimum of 6 participants is necessary for each module to take place.
D.8 Certificates
After passing the final exam, students will receive a certificate from the Tolomei Cultural Institute attesting to their participation in the program.
